Terms of Service

1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using TaxIt (the "App"), operated by Aziz Holdings Limited ("we", "us", "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. Identity & Authority

By using TaxIt, you confirm that you are the individual or authorised representative of the entity using this App, and that all information you provide is truthful and accurate. You must be at least 18 years of age to use the App.

3. Description of Service

TaxIt is a tax tracking application designed for rideshare and delivery drivers in New Zealand. The App helps you track income, expenses, mileage, and GST, and generates tax reports.

4. Nature of Service

TaxIt provides digital tax preparation tools only. The App is a record-keeping and calculation tool — it is not a substitute for personalised tax advice from a qualified accountant or tax agent. You should consult a qualified tax professional for advice specific to your circumstances.

5. Personal Information & Privacy

By using TaxIt, you consent to us collecting and processing your personal information, including your IRD number and tax records, in accordance with the Privacy Act 2020 (NZ) and our Privacy Policy.

Your data is stored securely and will only be used to provide tax preparation services as described in our Privacy Policy. We do not sell or share your personal information with third parties except as required to provide the service or as required by law.

6. Tax Accuracy & Responsibility

You acknowledge and agree that:

  • You are solely responsible for the accuracy of all tax information, expense claims, and income records you enter into TaxIt.
  • TaxIt does not verify your information with rideshare or delivery platforms, or with the Inland Revenue Department (IRD).
  • Any tax filing decisions you make based on TaxIt's calculations are your own responsibility.
  • You must comply with all applicable NZ tax laws and IRD requirements.
  • You are solely responsible for your tax filings and obligations.

7. No Guarantees

TaxIt does not guarantee:

  • Any specific tax refund, deduction amount, or acceptance by the IRD.
  • The completeness or accuracy of tax calculations — they are estimates based on the data you provide and current known NZ tax rates and rules at the time of use.
  • That tax laws and IRD rules will not change. TaxIt's calculations are based on rules current at the time of use and may not reflect subsequent legislative changes.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by New Zealand law:

  • TaxIt is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
  • Aziz Holdings Limited and TaxIt are not responsible for any penalties, interest, or adverse outcomes resulting from incorrect information you provide or tax decisions you make.
  • TaxIt's total liability to you is limited to the maximum extent permitted under New Zealand law, and in any event shall not exceed the subscription fees you have paid in the 12 months preceding the claim.
  • We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App.

9. Subscription & Billing

Plans:

  • Monthly: $30 per month + GST ($34.50 incl. GST)
  • Annual: $240 per year + GST ($276 incl. GST)

Billing Terms:

  • Subscriptions are billed per NZ tax year (April 1 – March 31).
  • Each tax year requires a separate subscription. Previous tax years are available as separate purchases.
  • A 7-day free trial is included with your first subscription. Payment information is required upfront.
  • Monthly subscriptions can be cancelled at any time. No refunds for partial months.
  • Annual subscriptions are non-refundable after the 7-day trial period.
  • Introductory pricing ($30/mo or $240/yr) applies to the current tax year only. Normal pricing ($40/mo or $320/yr +GST) applies from the following tax year.

Payments are processed through RevenueCat via the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. Your subscription will auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.

10. Accountant Review

All subscriptions include a professional accountant review of your tax report. This review is provided as a courtesy and does not constitute tax advice. The accountant may suggest corrections or improvements but is not responsible for the accuracy of the data you enter.

11. Account Responsibilities

  • You are responsible for maintaining the accuracy of your financial records.
  • You must keep your login credentials secure.
  • You must provide accurate information when creating your account.
  • You must not share your account with others or create multiple accounts.

12. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the App for any unlawful purpose, including tax fraud or evasion.
  • Attempt to access other users' accounts or data.
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App.
  • Interfere with the App's operation or servers.

13. Intellectual Property

TaxIt, including its design, code, content, and branding, is the property of Aziz Holdings Limited. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on the App without our written permission.

14. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time through the App or by submitting a request on our Delete Account page. Upon termination, your data will be handled according to our Privacy Policy.

15. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated via the App or email. Continued use of TaxIt after changes constitutes acceptance. When terms are updated, you will be asked to re-accept them within the App before continuing.

16. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of New Zealand.
